We provide psychiatric and chemical dependency services to our patients in a variety of settings, including inpatient psychiatric hospitals, specialty treatment facilities, residential treatment centers, outpatient clinics, and therapeutic school-based programs.
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Psiatrist to join our team at Red River Hospital, a private inpatient 96-bed acute psychiatric facility dedicated to the treatment of behavioral health and substance abuse services.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat mental illnesses through a combination of personal counseling (psychotherapy), psychoanalysis, hospitalization, and/or medication.
- Provide clinical services to patients at the facility, adhering to medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures.
- Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and offer medical recommendations.
- Evaluate patients for mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders.
- Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
- Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, document services, and information in a timely manner.
- Maintain confidential documentation, compliance, and billing in accordance with policy and procedures.
- Hold a doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) and be licensed in the state in which the facility(s) operate.
- Board certification in psychiatry and current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.
Requirements
- Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.
- One or more years' postgraduate degree practice preferred.
- Licensed in the state in which the facility(s) operate.
