Building Crafts Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Building Crafts Specialist to join our team at Humble ISD. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing various trade areas, including carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, roofing, masonry, and flooring.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair facilities, including buildings, grounds, and equipment, to ensure a safe and healthy environment for students and staff.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, painting, and repairing facilities, to prevent damage and extend the lifespan of equipment and buildings.
  • Install and repair various trade areas, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, to ensure proper functioning and safety.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance staff to complete projects and tasks, and provide support as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the General Crafts Supervisor.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid Texas driver's license with a good driving record required.
  • Ability to perform in all trade areas preferred.
  • May be required to successfully complete job ability testing for State of Texas Maintenance Electrician License or Apprentice Electrician License.
  • Ability to clear a criminal background check and pass a drug test administered upon employment, and be subject to random drug testing.
