Job Title: Mechanical Engineer - Process Controls Specialist

NES Fircroft is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Kings Mountain, NC. As a Process Controls Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing mechanical systems focused on process controls and automation for manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop mechanical systems for process controls and automation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to process controls, automation systems, and mechanical equipment.
  • Assist with plant maintenance projects to ensure equipment is operating efficiently and safely.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to production and maintenance teams.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage and execute engineering projects, including the installation and commissioning of new automation and control systems.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in process controls and automation, preferably in a chemical or metals manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with plant maintenance and reliability engineering.
  • Knowledge of automation systems and mechanical equipment.
  • Proficiency with CAD software and other relevant engineering tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
