Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in luggage and body searches to ensure patient safety and security.
  • Monitor and facilitate Book Studies and Recovery meetings to promote patient engagement and participation.
  • Document hourly checks to ensure patient locations are accounted for at all times.
  • Supervise and facilitate patient activities as directed by supervisors.
  • Assist patients with daily tasks, such as medication administration and meal times.
  • Engage in documentation and record-keeping to ensure accurate patient information.
  • Collaborate with counselors and nurses to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Drive patients to and from appointments and outings as directed.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in Behavioral Science, CRC, or CRSS preferred.
  • One year experience in alcohol/drug treatment with direct patient contact preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to administer CPR and be certified.
  • Ability to see and hear constantly.
  • Emotional and physical ability to function under stressful situations.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. The Behavioral Health Technician must be able to maintain a high level of professionalism and composure in stressful situations.

Confidentiality

This position has unrestricted access to patient identifying and patient health information. The Behavioral Health Technician must adhere to the general provisions of 42 CFR Part 2, Confidentiality of Drug and Alcohol Abuse Patient Records, and 45 CFR Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.
