Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Adjunct Professor of Sociology to teach part-time, temporary, hourly assignments on an as-needed basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching introduction to Sociology, Race and Ethnicity, Social Justice, and/or Criminology courses in our Dual Enrollment Program.

Responsibilities
  • Teach sociology courses to students in our Dual Enrollment Program
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and course materials
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback
  • Meet with students and provide academic support
Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must have a Master's degree in Sociology or a related field, or a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and a Master's degree in a related field. The successful candidate will also have a commitment to teaching and learning, and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include experience teaching sociology courses, a strong understanding of sociology theory and research methods, and the ability to use technology to enhance teaching and learning.
