Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Intern to join our team at Walgreens. As a Pharmacy Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting and develop your skills in patient care, customer service, and pharmacy operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Engage with customers and patients, provide assistance with products and services, and resolve customer issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Pharmacy Operations: Assist pharmacists and other healthcare providers in delivering patient care and services, including patient counseling and medication therapy management.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with inventory management activities, such as ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals.
  • Training and Development: Complete required training and maintain knowledge and skills in healthcare and pharmacy, including the latest news and developments.
Requirements
  • Must be enrolled in a school of Pharmacy program.
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
  • Prefer to have prior work experience with Walgreens.
  • Prefer good math skills for accurate prescription filling.
