Culinary Artist

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Artist to join our team at the Wheaton Park District. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food in accordance with established recipes and industry standards.

Salary: $19.00 per hour

• Prepare food for service, including cooking, seasoning, and plating dishes
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
• Operate kitchen equipment, including stoves, refrigeration units, and dish machines
• Assist with menu planning, inventory management, and supply ordering
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure seamless service

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in a commercial kitchen setting
• Knowledge of professional cooking techniques, kitchen safety, and food handling guidelines
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
