McCallum Rock Drilling is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Cheney, WA. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our equipment and vehicles, ensuring they are in top working condition to meet the demands of our commercial quarry operations.

• Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan.
• Equipment Operation: Safely operate and maintain a variety of heavy equipment, including drills, lowboy trucks, trailers, skid steers, and excavators.
• Tool Management: Maintain a set of hand tools related to diesel repair and maintenance, and ensure they are in good working condition.
• Problem-Solving: Diagnose and troubleshoot common problems with diesel engines and equipment, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
• Welding and Fabrication: Perform welding and fabrication tasks as needed to repair or modify equipment.

• Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, and 2+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic in a commercial setting.
• Skills and Qualifications: Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test.
• Physical Demands: Ability to lift 50 pounds, work in a fast-paced environment, and adapt to changing weather conditions.
• Communication and Teamwork: Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and management.
