Job Overview:
As a COP Buyer, Specialized, you will play a critical role in negotiating the purchase of quality protein products at competitive prices and maintaining adequate inventories to meet customer demand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attain targeted profit margins by maintaining product costing and pricing and ensuring accurate purchase orders.
- Implement buying/purchasing strategies to purchase products in the most cost-effective and efficient manner.
- Manage protein inventory levels to designated goal levels.
- Effectively manage the disposition of obsolete protein inventory.
- Consult with vendors regarding current orders and new protein products, initiate orders, schedule deliveries, and process related paperwork and documentation.
- Provide product and pricing information to sales staff and investigate protein product quality complaints.
- Complete special projects as needed.
Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
1 – 2 years Purchasing or related area
