Clinical Speech Therapist for Pediatric Patients

Cortica is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Speech Therapist to join its multi-disciplinary team in Westlake Village, CA. As a Clinical Speech Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing speech and language therapy to children with neurodevelopmental differences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish speech and language treatment goals through dynamic and standardized assessment tools.
  • Consult closely with multi-disciplinary team members to create collaborative treatment plans and integrative strategies.
  • Provide individual therapy sessions as well as group and/or co-treats with other disciplines as therapeutically appropriate.
  • Maintain patient records, documentation, and appropriate billing in accordance with federal and state regulations and company policy to ensure excellent standard of care.
  • Provide play-based and goal-based interventions to develop receptive and expressive language skills while considering an individual's sensory processing, regulation, and motor differences.
  • Facilitate functional and stimulating experiences to target and achieve individualized goals.
  • Collaborate with the individual and family to understand their values, interests, and goals.
  • Implement programming that considers all aspects of the child, inclusive of, but not limited to: sensorimotor, cognitive, communicative, recreational, and social activities.
  • Contribute to program development.
  • Educate patients, families, team members, and caregivers on home programs that complement treatment.
  • You should expect to deliver at least 22.75 hours of direct patient care each week, excluding time for training, documentation, and administrative meetings.

Requirements:

  • A master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Licensure to practice as a Speech and Language Pathologist in the state of California or willingness to receive licensure.
  • Excellent clinical skills.
  • Desire to work in a multi-disciplinary clinical setting.
  • Flexibility and openness to learning.
  • Appreciation for a wide range of therapeutic approaches.
  • Passion for working with children.
  • Occasional requirement to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl; reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 40 pounds.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $2,000 annual continuing education stipend.
  • Competitive compensation, $87,377 to $109,222 depending on experience.
  • Currently offering $10k bonus in first year (4 equal payments of $2,500 paid quarterly).
