Job Summary:

The Learning Experience Designer will play a critical role in facilitating the advancement of teaching and learning initiatives at SCAD. This position will be responsible for designing and developing dynamic learning experiences, instructional media, and educational technology resources to support online learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement learning experiences that align with SCAD's academic goals and objectives
  • Collaborate with faculty, academic leaders, and subject-matter experts to design and develop instructional media and educational technology resources
  • Provide training and support to SCAD faculty and students on the effective use of educational technology
  • Conduct research on emerging trends and best practices in educational technology and instructional design
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and partners to ensure access to cutting-edge educational technology
  • Participate in the review and testing of system updates and enhancements to ensure seamless integration with existing systems

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in technology or education-related disciplines and/or comprehensive work experience related to teaching, educational technology, or a related field
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in both collaborative and independent scenarios
  • Ability to problem-solve and multitask to achieve measurable outcomes

Work Environment:

The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
