About the Role:

The Surgical Technologist is an essential member of our Interventional Radiology team, providing critical support to physicians and patients alike. With a strong background in medical asepsis and technical expertise, this role ensures seamless execution of procedures under conscious sedation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist physicians with office-based procedures, including setting up equipment, participating in time-out procedures, and assisting during actual procedures.
  • Support patient visits by putting patients in rooms, interviewing patients, and completing associated documentation.
  • Organize exam rooms, maintain cleanliness, and restock supplies as needed.
  • Provide clinical support to patients and staff, acting as the point of contact for internal and external clients.
  • Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and assist with daily department workflow.
  • Order office/surgical supplies, research new deals, and maintain inventory.
  • Maintain contact lists of vendors and adhere to GLMI policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist
  • Previous experience as a Surgical Technologist desired
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Ability to communicate effectively with physicians, patients, co-workers, vendors, and the public
  • Critical thinking skills and a positive attitude are essential

Salary: $24-$30 per hour, depending on experience

Work Environment:

Fast-paced environment with opportunities for growth and development. Must be well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask. Background in Interventional Radiology preferred.
