  • Collaborate with School Staff
    • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to adapt learning activities and recommend tools or strategies to meet students' needs.
  • Document Progress and Goals
    • Participate in IEP meetings and maintain detailed documentation of therapy progress and goals.
  • Ensure Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations related to occupational therapy services in schools.
  • Educate School Staff and Families
    • Educate school staff and families on strategies to support students' functional independence and success in the classroom.
Qualifications
  • Education and Licensure
    • Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
    • Valid Louisiana Occupational Therapist license.
  • Experience and Skills
    • School-based experience preferred, but not required.
    • Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
    • Ability to develop positive working relationships with students, families, and school personnel.
