Job Summary

As a Fighter Pilot in the US Navy, you will be part of an elite group of aviators who fly and fight in the world's most lethal jets. You will be responsible for conducting complex air maneuvers, gathering intel, and dropping ordnance. You will also be responsible for providing vital attack, defense, and logistic support to the Fleet.

Work Environment

As a Fighter Pilot, you will be working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will be required to work in a variety of settings, including on aircraft carriers and at Naval Air Stations. You will also be required to work in a team environment, collaborating with other aviators and support personnel to achieve mission objectives.

Training and Advancement

As a Fighter Pilot, you will undergo rigorous training to prepare you for the demands of the job. You will attend Officer Candidate School (OCS) and then complete a six-week air indoctrination course at Naval Aviation Schools Command. From there, you will attend primary flight training and then intermediate and advanced naval flight training. After completion, you will be awarded your 'wings of gold' and report to your respective Fleet Replacement Squadrons (FRSs) for further training specific to your aircraft.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be eligible for this position, you must have a four-year degree from a regionally accredited institution, preferably in a technical field. You must also be a U.S. citizen, willing to serve worldwide, and qualified for sea duty.
