Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Class A CDL Truck Driver to join our team at Ryder System. As a Solo Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a tractor-trailer combination vehicle to transport goods and materials across the country
  • Ensure timely delivery of goods and materials, adhering to schedules and deadlines
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by providing excellent service and communication
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition
  • Comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to transportation and safety

Requirements:

  • Class A CDL with a valid endorsement for the type of cargo being transported
  • At least 9 months of experience as a Class A CDL Truck Driver within the past 3 years, or 2 years of experience within the last 5 years, or 5 years of experience within the last 10 years
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Pass a Ryder drug test, background check, and motor vehicle check
