Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct structural design and analytical evaluations for various projects, including the rehabilitation and replacement of bridges, under the guidance of a senior engineer.
  • Create comprehensive plans and construction documentation for assigned engineering tasks.
  • Execute engineering calculations that support the detailed plans and construction documents produced.
  • Draft contract specifications, bid documents, and technical reports.
  • Engage in travel within the Southeast Region as required.
  • Participate in occasional field site assessments and bridge inspections.
Qualifications
  • Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Active Georgia PE or SE License.
  • A minimum of eight years of experience in structural engineering, particularly in bridge design (preferred).
  • Proven experience in conceptual, preliminary, and final design as well as plan production for bridge projects in compliance with Federal and State regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a design team and provide leadership to fellow engineers.
  • Familiarity with current FEM modeling software (preferred).
  • Detail-oriented, goal-driven, self-motivated, and proficient in both verbal and written communication.
