We are seeking a highly skilled Ink Production Specialist to join our team at Transcontinental Ultra Flex Inc. As an Ink Production Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and consistency of our ink products, which are used in the production of flexible packaging materials.
Key Responsibilities- Quality Control: Verify the conformance of all inks to specifications by performing various responsibilities, including blending, producing, and quality controlling of solvent packaging inks.
- Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain all equipment, including ink dispensers, X-Rite Exact Spectro, Lab Mixer, Kit Mixer (air driven), Hand Proofer, Lab and production scales.
- Inventory Management: Utilize ink dispensers for inventory control, work off, and batch production.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in Continuous Improvement projects to optimize processes and improve efficiency.
- Communication: Clearly communicate to other shifts and involved personnel the status of any job (s) being worked on during, before or after your shift has ended.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 2+ years' experience operating a printing press (Flexo, Stack, Litho, Gravure) and ink dispensers.
- Skills: Basic knowledge of different ink types, mathematical skills, ability to read a measuring tape, and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of solvent ink formulations, Flexographic printing and laminating processes, and computer literacy.
- Competitive Compensation: $20.20 per hour.
