Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Lockheed Martin in Orlando, FL. As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the production and development efforts of the Apache, TSS, and Longbow FCR programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support manufacturing process development, troubleshooting, and yield investigations
  • Collaborate with SITC manufacturing engineers to develop and implement manufacturing processes
  • Provide technical expertise to support production operations meetings, presentations, and coordination events
  • Act as liaison between Orlando commodity shops and program leadership
  • Represent the engineering team on the engineering change board
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering-related field or higher
  • 4+ years of professional experience in manufacturing engineering or a related field
  • Knowledge of electro assembly, industrial processes, technical writing, and teaming
  • Experience with LEAN/Six Sigma skills and ability to identify process issues/opportunities and implement cost-saving solutions
  • Working knowledge of GD&T and experience with manufacturing processes, precision machining/tolerances, and assembly sequences
  • CREO (Pro-E) experience with a focus on tooling, taking a concept through to final and fabrication
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain a DOD Secret clearance
Desired Skills
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Master's degree
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing and familiarity with LM Operations
  • Strong interpersonal skills with excellent communication to effectively communicate with senior program leadership and functional leadership, and within a virtual team environment
  • Experience with automation/robotics
  • Familiarity with SAP and P2P applications
  • Highly skilled at interpretation of Engineering specifications and the translation into effective Work Instructions

These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
