Public Relations Representative

Overview:
CommonSpirit Health is seeking a PRN Public Relations Representative. The working hours will be scheduled between 6 PM and 6 AM.

Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and direct incoming external and internal phone communications.

2. Take and relay messages to the appropriate personnel as needed.

3. Respond to urgent phone calls following established protocols.

4. Utilize the overhead paging system to contact staff and convey information to building occupants as necessary.

5. Announce emergency and informational codes in accordance with company policies.

6. Facilitate conference calls for medical professionals, administration, and other team members.

7. Welcome and guide patients and their families.

8. Uphold strict confidentiality regarding patient and family information.

9. Engage with patients, families, and colleagues in a manner that fosters dignity and respect.

Qualifications:

Education:
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Experience:
Prior experience with multi-line phone systems and customer service is advantageous.

Skills:
- Proficient in operating multi-line phone systems.
- Familiarity with general office practices and procedures.
- Competence in using computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with healthcare professionals, patients, colleagues, and the public.
- Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Skill in managing stressful situations effectively.

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to sit for extended periods.
Physical dexterity is required for operating phones, keyboards, and mice.
Occasional lifting of up to 35 pounds may be necessary.
