This role entails managing daily statistics and productivity metrics, along with month-end journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Conduct routine daily, weekly, and monthly statistical tracking to support financial discussions and analyses.
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with operational departments to evaluate and report on performance.
- Analyze variances against budget and historical data.
- Create ad hoc reports to assess service lines and margins across operational units.
- Assist the CFO and ACFO in analyzing productivity-related initiatives.
- Collect data and perform analyses on performance improvement, strategic business evaluations, contract utilization, and cost management.
- Support initiatives aimed at revenue enhancement.
- Prepare Monthly Operating Reports for the analysis of net revenue, operating expenses, and statistical data.
- Aid in the preparation of reports and presentations for business plans, financial proformas, annual budgets, and board meetings.
- Design reports that effectively communicate performance, identify challenges, and facilitate informed management decisions.
- Reconcile specific Balance Sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
- Prepare reclassification and accrual entries monthly.
- Assist in the completion of annual tax and cost report workpapers.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Controller or Assistant Controller.
- Exhibit a positive attitude, personal initiative, and motivation to achieve departmental goals.
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or another Business-related field is required.
Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
A minimum of 1 year of relevant financial analysis experience is preferred.
Advanced skills in Excel are preferred.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential.
Familiarity with healthcare accounting and operations is advantageous.
