Role Summary

As a Bartender:


Welcome patrons warmly as they arrive at the bar; promote signature drinks; employ upselling techniques to enhance revenue.

Craft beverages requested by guests, adhering to established operating procedures (i.e. ensuring correct proportions and ingredient control to deliver a consistent experience).


Utilize the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately, process payments, provide change, and charge to the room when necessary.


Efficiently close the bar each evening and generate all necessary reports.

Monitor inventory levels and procure alcohol with management approval.

Restock the bar and beer cooler as needed.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and beer cooler area (including standard sanitation practices and washing glassware behind the bar).

Identify intoxicated patrons and respond appropriately.

Ensure liquor levels are maintained, ordering or requisitioning products using a bottle-for-bottle control system. Complete nightly liquor inventory and monthly stock checks.

Adhere to all opening and closing protocols.

Ensure guest satisfaction remains consistent through ongoing communication with the wait staff.

Prepare fruit for drink garnishing.


Observe guest behavior and alcohol consumption to determine when to cease service; inform management of any incidents involving excessive drinking or impairment.


Verify identification whenever a guest's age appears questionable; comply with state and local regulations regarding the sale and service of alcoholic beverages.


Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of bartending experience required.

TABC certification is mandatory.

Availability for nights and weekends is essential.
