Childhelp is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Therapist I to join our team. As a Therapist I, you will play a critical role in providing mental health services to children, adolescents, and their families who have experienced trauma and abuse.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide individual and family therapy sessions to clients, including children, adolescents, and non-offending adults.
- Conduct clinical assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide ongoing therapy services to clients.
- Facilitate psychoeducational groups for non-offending guardians, caretakers, and adolescents.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including law enforcement, CPS, medical staff, and forensic interviewers, to provide comprehensive services to clients.
- Participate in research protocols and provide immediate intervention and family stabilization services as needed.
- Provide court testimony and reports as required.
- Master's degree in Social Sciences with an emphasis in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
- Independent board-certified licensure eligibility in the state of practice within 12 months of hire date.
- Minimum two years' work experience providing mental health counseling services to children, adolescents, and their families.
- Clear fingerprint background screening through the Department of Justice, FBI, and Child Abuse Index.
