Job Title: Therapist I

Childhelp is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Therapist I to join our team. As a Therapist I, you will play a critical role in providing mental health services to children, adolescents, and their families who have experienced trauma and abuse.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual and family therapy sessions to clients, including children, adolescents, and non-offending adults.
  • Conduct clinical assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide ongoing therapy services to clients.
  • Facilitate psychoeducational groups for non-offending guardians, caretakers, and adolescents.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including law enforcement, CPS, medical staff, and forensic interviewers, to provide comprehensive services to clients.
  • Participate in research protocols and provide immediate intervention and family stabilization services as needed.
  • Provide court testimony and reports as required.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Social Sciences with an emphasis in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
  • Independent board-certified licensure eligibility in the state of practice within 12 months of hire date.
  • Minimum two years' work experience providing mental health counseling services to children, adolescents, and their families.
  • Clear fingerprint background screening through the Department of Justice, FBI, and Child Abuse Index.
