Job Summary:

The Body Shop Paint Specialist at Jenkins Collision Center of Homosassa is responsible for delivering a premium retail experience to our clientele while maintaining a high-quality and performance-oriented environment.

Key responsibilities include achieving 100% or greater hour efficiency, delivering high-quality paint repairs without comebacks, and maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years' experience in a dealership atmosphere and/or in a continuous improvement process/procedure-oriented shop environment.

Additional requirements include producing outstanding quality results on time or earlier, having a strong and trustworthy demeanor, and possessing a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

The following is a representative list of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position:

  • Perform work outlined on repair order with efficiency, accuracy, and high quality, and in accordance with dealership, insurance company, and GM, Mazda, and Kia standards
  • Immediately communicate with body shop manager if additional work is needed; if work outlines is not needed; and/or if repairs cannot be completed in the promised time
  • Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order, with proper flag sheets, technician notes, etc.
  • Participate in all Paint Company, ICAR, ASE, or other training programs, certifications, schools, and events
  • Perform daily cleaning of all body shop areas prior to leaving for the day
  • Maintain dealership-owned tools and manuals in good working order and assume accountability for those tools; return all tools/manuals to their proper place after use
  • Understand, stay abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to
  • Know, etc.

Operate all tooling and equipment in a safe manner

Immediately report safety issues to management

Assist fellow technicians in the learning process and act as a mentor to new technicians by illustrating best practices and by embracing/promoting quality repairs

Adhere to all company policies, procedures and safety standards

Other duties as assigned.
