Position Overview:
The Nurse Manager plays a vital role in overseeing the daily operations of the health and wellness department, ensuring optimal resident functionality, safety, and well-being. This is achieved by adhering to Juniper Partners' philosophy, policies, and current regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to Juniper Partners' philosophy and all operational policies governing the Resident Services Department.
- Facilitate effective communication among Resident Associates, residents, and their families.
- Maintain strong relationships with residents and their families.
- Provide ongoing supervision and support to ensure high-quality service within the Health and Wellness Department.
- Foster teamwork among Health and Wellness team members.
- Assist in the recruitment and selection of qualified Resident Associates.
- Oversee the continuous supervision of Health and Wellness team members, including training and performance evaluations.
- Participate in orientation and in-service training programs.
- Ensure compliance with established safety regulations.
- Report to the Wellness Director regarding departmental operations.
- Collaborate with the Resident Services Leadership Team.
- Coordinate health care services to ensure continuity of care.
- Support the Wellness Director in various nursing tasks.
- Regularly assess residents' suitability for community living.
- Organize wellness meetings as needed.
- Complete necessary administrative documentation.
- Assist with medication administration.
- Collaborate with residents' attending physicians to ensure quality service delivery.
- Provide recommendations for budgetary needs and supplies.
- Help develop work schedules to ensure accountability and task completion.
- Maintain confidentiality of resident and staff information.
- Participate as a networking team member as directed.
- Valid LVN or RN license (Required).
- Previous management experience in a healthcare or service-oriented environment.
- Familiarity with applicable governmental regulations.
- Understanding of the physiology and psychology of older adults.
