Retail Sales Associate

The Southern States Cashier will perform point of sale and salesroom duties in a retail setting.

• Provide exceptional customer service, including greeting, assisting, selling, and closing the sale.
• Operate Point of Sale equipment efficiently and accurately.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly checkout area.
• Assist in physical inventories and merchandise the store according to corporate standards.
• Answer phone calls to corporate standards and expectations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High School education or equivalent.
• Previous sales experience is helpful.

This role requires physical strength and dexterity to perform tasks such as walking, standing, bending, climbing, reaching, stooping, twisting, and lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds. Vision, hearing, and speech are essential. Hand coordination to use computer is required. The job also involves contact with hazardous materials and work in adverse weather conditions.
