Key Responsibilities:
As an Automotive Body Repair Specialist, you will be responsible for executing repairs and refinishing of vehicle bodies.
Your duties will include evaluating vehicle body damage, utilizing an auto body frame machine, and conducting both exterior and interior repairs, which may involve the replacement of damaged components.
You will assess vehicle body damage and perform repairs on both automobiles and trucks.Your role will also encompass interior repairs, which include fixing or replacing damaged seats, upholstery, locks, airbags, flooring, wiring, and dashboards.
You will conduct extensive repairs on electrical and hydraulic systems, engines, steering, and suspension components.
Additionally, you will perform exterior bodywork, which includes repairing or replacing damaged sheet metal, frames, panels, windows, lights, tires, and bumpers.
You will fill dents and depressions, and prepare, prime, and paint auto body surfaces. Fabrication and welding of parts will also be part of your responsibilities.You will prepare stencils and silk screens, applying decals and hand-lettered signs on vehicles. Finally, you will wash and clean vehicles post-repair.
Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Applicants should possess a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in automotive or diesel body repair within a commercial or fleet maintenance environment is required.
Candidates must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment physical and drug screening.
A pre-employment background check is also mandatory.
Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and engage in activities such as bending, climbing, and stooping.
Applicants must have their own set of tools, a valid Driver's License, and steel-toe boots.
