We are seeking a highly skilled Import Classification Specialist to join our team. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the accurate classification of imported products in accordance with the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and applicable laws and regulations.
Responsibilities- Product Classification: Review product descriptions and technical data to determine import classification, ensuring compliance with HTS and relevant laws and regulations.
- Free Trade Agreements and Preferential Treatment Programs: Determine product eligibility for Free Trade Agreements and Preferential Treatment Programs, ensuring accurate classification and compliance.
- Regulatory Compliance: Apply regulatory, judicial, international, and Customs' decisions/views to products being classified, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date record keeping to support classification determinations, ensuring seamless auditing and compliance.
- Strong Communication Skills: Possess effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Attention to Detail: Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail, with the ability to focus and apply analytical thinking to complex problems.
