About the Role

Palmdale Regional Medical Center, a leading healthcare provider, is seeking a skilled Speech Therapist/Pathologist to join our team in the Rehabilitation Institute. As a Speech Therapist/Pathologist, you will play a critical role in helping patients recover from various medical conditions, including stroke, brain injury, and other neurological disorders.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and diagnose patients' communicative abilities and develop personalized treatment plans to improve their speech, language, and swallowing skills.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Conduct evaluations and treatments in a variety of settings, including inpatient and outpatient facilities.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address patients' specific needs and goals.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited educational institution.
  • License to practice speech pathology by the California State Board of Medical Examiners and Certificate of clinical competence (ASHA) or a RPE/CFY applicant supervised by licensed Speech Pathologist following State and ASHA guidelines.
  • Current BLS Certificate required.
