Job Title: Caregiver

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Caregiver to join our team at Senior Helpers of the Metro East. As a Caregiver, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients, providing them with the care and support they need to live safely and independently in their own homes.

Job Summary:

The Caregiver will be responsible for delivering exceptional care to our clients, including personal care activities, light housekeeping, and companionship. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, think critically, and communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist with light housekeeping, including laundry, cleaning, and meal preparation
  • Supply companionship and engage in activities with clients, such as reading, watching movies, or playing games
  • Document client progress and report any changes in their physical condition, mental capability, or behavior
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care
Requirements:
  • Active Driver's license
  • Have a licensed and reliable vehicle
  • Proof of auto insurance with a minimum of $100,000 in liability coverage
  • No more than one moving violation (speeding tickets) within the past 3 years
  • No at-fault accidents with the past 3 years
  • No convictions of Driving Under the Influence (DUI), Reckless Driving, Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), Vehicular Manslaughter, Driving Dangerously, or similar type of offense
  • Able to verify legal eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Be able to pass a background check
  • Be able to pass a drug test
  • Be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Report
