KSNV is looking for a skilled Multimedia Journalist to join our news team. We are seeking an energetic and creative individual who can think outside the box, develop story ideas, gather information, write compelling articles, and excel in live shots.
The ideal candidate will have excellent storytelling skills, a great work ethic, and a can-do attitude. As a Multimedia Journalist, you will be responsible for creating engaging content for various platforms, working closely with producers, editors, anchors, and other news team members.
Main Responsibilities:
- Developing and executing multimedia story ideas
- Conducting interviews, research, and gathering information for newscasts
- Writing and editing engaging stories for multiple platforms
- Providing news updates as directed by the news management team
- Engaging with local community members and building relationships
- Reviewing material for fairness, accuracy, and balance
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Proven experience working with current media creation tools and contemporary newsroom systems
- Excellent writing and copy-editing skills
- A strong understanding of storytelling across multiple platforms
- Three years of experience as a journalist
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
