UC Health is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Staff Pharmacist to join our Investigational Drug Service (IDS) team at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. About the RoleThis clinical staff pharmacist position is responsible for providing operational, clinical, and administrative support across a broad range of research teams, advanced therapy areas, and regulatory stakeholders. You will work collaboratively with a dedicated team of clinical staff pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to ensure the safe and effective delivery of medications to patients.
Responsibilities- Prepare and dispense medication orders per physician request according to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Interpret medication orders (verbal and written) and transcribe to computerized patient medication profiles accurately; maintain accurate, complete medication profiles.
- Ensure safe, appropriate, cost-effective medication therapies for patients according to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Contribute to the quality and effective operation of the department.
- Maintain competence required for current job title/position.
- Meet hospital and department standards of performance.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- B.S. in pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy is required. PharmD preferred degree.
- Licensed or eligible for pharmacist licensure in the state of Ohio.
- ACLS preferred.
- Greater than or equal to a six-month hospital pharmacy internship or hospital experience as a pharmacist is preferred.
