Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Cummins, specializing in Logistics for our facility in North Carolina. This role is responsible for coordinating various operations and ensuring smooth interaction with operations management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordination and Leadership: Act as a key resource, coordinating various operations and ensuring smooth interaction with operations management.
  • Operational Efficiency: Oversee activities across different areas like Inbound, Outbound, and Kitting, optimizing processes based on management's direction.
  • Health and Safety Advocacy: Promote a safe working environment by reporting hazards, complying with HSE standards, and leading HSE training sessions.
  • Environmental Stewardship: Recognize and minimize the environmental impact of your work, fostering a culture of sustainability.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure high-quality standards by performing checks, identifying non-conforming materials, and raising issues to prevent cost and quality exposures.
  • Effective Delivery: Manage the receipt, storage, and shipment of goods efficiently, utilizing both manual and automated equipment to meet customer expectations.

  • Warehouse Operations: Utilize warehousing tools, systems, and methodologies to achieve defined metrics for inbound and outbound operations. Focus on efficiency, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
Education and Experience

A high school diploma or equivalent experience is required. A college or university degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. Significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience in a related field such as logistics, warehousing, and third-party logistics provider management are required.

Qualifications
  • Physical Requirements: be able to access all areas of the facility and meet other physical requirements of the position and work scheduled overtime requirements.

  • Comply with all Meritor written environmental (ISO and quality (TS policies
