The ideal candidate for this Systems Administrator role will possess a strong background in server administration and infrastructure management, with expertise in maintaining the security and performance of Windows servers. As part of our team at General Dynamics Information Technology, you will play a critical role in supporting the Executive Communications Team on the CITS contract for USCENTCOM.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to join our team in Tampa, Florida. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the Commanders Communications equipment, ensuring their security, availability, and performance. This includes regular patching, troubleshooting, and collaborating with other IT teams to implement infrastructure solutions that align with command requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a Team of highly qualified maintenance and operations professionals.
  • Brief operational status to Government and Contract Senior Leaders.
  • Understanding of En-Route and Aircraft communications capabilities.
  • Lead and track regular maintenance tasks including patching and remediation.
  • Manage certificate lifecycle management processes for secure communication assets.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement infrastructure solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies, regulations, and best practices.
  • Install critical system patches and perform system upgrades.
  • Interact with end-users to understand and evaluate functional requirements.
  • Interface with third-party vendors for troubleshooting and support.

Requirements

To succeed in this position, you will require:

  • Applicable DoD 8140 or DoD 8570 Certification.
  • 5 + years of related experience.
  • Experience in systems administration and infrastructure management.
  • Ability to prepare comprehensive documentation for systems administration tasks.

We offer a competitive salary range for this position, estimated to be between $97,750 - $132,250 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
