Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Registered Nurse (RN) to develop comprehensive nursing care plans.
  • Conduct thorough physical assessments and gather medical histories.
  • Administer nursing care within your scope of practice and refer complex medical issues to the appropriate physician.
  • Ensure that prescribed medications are given as directed.
  • Regularly assess patients' symptoms, reactions, and progress, reporting any concerns to management.
  • Safely administer medications while preventing issues related to drug hoarding and trafficking.
  • Adhere to industry and organizational accreditation standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all patient interactions and uphold confidentiality of medical records.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required. A current, unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the relevant state is mandatory.
  • Preferred: Two (2) years of direct experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Competence in crisis intervention, medical emergencies, physical assessments, and both medical and psychiatric nursing care is essential.
  • Ability to work independently in performing nursing diagnoses and providing appropriate follow-up treatment.
  • Proficiency in using computers and relevant software applications.
  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • Must be a United States citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident.
