Job Responsibilities
  • Maintain client confidentiality and evaluate client response to medications.
  • Administer medication injections as prescribed by physician and follow all other physician's orders.
  • Monitor clients' belongings for items of safety concern and/or contraband.
  • Remain awake and alert at all times to provide supervision of clients and to aid when needed.
  • Work under the direction of the RN on duty.
Documentation and Quality Improvement
  • Document appropriate activities in case note format that justify the need for treatment.
  • Complete and submit service logs per agency policy.
  • Maintain case record documentation that is adequate, appropriate, complete, and timely.
  • Identify and report to supervisor in a timely manner any safety concern or any unusual incidents in the work environment.
Interpersonal and Leadership Skills
  • Attend and participate appropriately in clinical staffing as requested.
  • Respond to clients' needs in an appropriate and timely manner.
  • Demonstrate appropriate interactions with coworkers that promote a pleasant work environment.
  • Participate as a team member to provide a nurturing and consistent therapeutic treatment environment.
Requirements
  • Requires Mississippi licensure as a licensed practical nurse.
  • Requires excellent time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Requires current CPR status at all times.
  • Requires completion of CPI within the first 30 days of employment.
  • Requires valid driver's license and auto liability insurance.
