GENERAL FUNCTION
The Associate Optometrist plays a pivotal role within the organization, embodying the brand promise and driving key results through effective collaboration and teamwork. This position ensures that every patient receives top-tier Optometric care by adhering to clinical protocols while fostering growth through strong partnerships with management and team members. The Associate Optometrist is a key performance driver and acts as a brand ambassador, motivated by a passion for excellence and a commitment to surpassing expectations.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Achieves operational excellence and favorable outcomes in collaboration with management and store personnel.
- Demonstrates a commitment to surpassing performance metrics through effective KPI management and accountability.
- Establishes the brand as the premier optical provider within the local community.
- Functions as a vital stakeholder for all leaders within the organization and the surrounding market.
- Prioritizes patient/customer satisfaction and delivers exceptional service.
- Aims to exceed expectations across all key performance indicators.
- Commits to providing unparalleled Patient Service by ensuring staff adheres to the following Service Process steps:
- Address all patients/customers' visual lifestyle needs.
- Make eyewear recommendations tailored to patients/customers' requirements.
- Clearly explain each step of the eye examination process; actively listen to patients/customers.
- Utilize available tools and visual aids to clarify and ensure patients understand their vision, eye health, and overall well-being.
- Effectively communicate the importance of annual eye exams to patients and ensure appointments are scheduled.
- Conduct all services in accordance with established protocols and accepted standards of care.
- Ensures all patients receive accurate diagnoses and appropriate recommendations.
- Builds a positive rapport with patients.
- Effectively utilizes technology to enhance patient/customer experiences.
- Maintains office systems and procedures.
- Holds a valid State Licensure in good standing and practices within the full scope of that license, ensuring Continuing Education requirements are met.
- Provides effective training and mentorship to team members using company-provided programs.
- Delivers clear, motivating, and constructive feedback to all associates in a timely manner.
- Fosters a positive workplace culture aligned with corporate values; identifies individual motivators and tailors conversations and actions accordingly.
- Encourages decision-making at the level closest to the patient.
- Maximizes partnerships through leadership, engagement, and collaboration.
- Takes pride in maintaining a professional appearance of the office.
- Ensures a safe working environment for all associates and patients.
