About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at Baptist Memorial Health Care. As a Housekeeper, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our patient care areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning and Disinfection: Clean and disinfect patient and non-patient care areas, including floors, surfaces, and equipment, using a 7-step cleaning process.
  • Infection Control: Practice infection control guidelines by adhering to universal precautions and safety protocols.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain equipment, storage rooms, and environmental closets in an orderly fashion.
  • Reporting and Communication: Identify and report equipment needs, building interior and function repairs, and other maintenance issues.
  • Quality and Performance: Participate in department quality and performance improvement activities and demonstrate knowledge of hospital policies and procedures.
  • Adherence to Policies: Adhere to hospital and departmental policies and procedures, including Service First principles and hospital required competencies.
Requirements and Preferences:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Knowledge, skills, and mental development equivalent to completion of 4 years of high school or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience: 1 year of housekeeping experience preferred. None required.
