About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our team at PAR Systems. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative mechanical systems and frameworks for our clients in the naval defense industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop complex mechanical systems and frameworks for naval defense applications
  • Lead high-complexity projects from concept to delivery, ensuring timely and within-budget completion
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production control, purchasing, and quality, to ensure seamless project execution
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including engineering labor estimates, technical proposals, and bills of material
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements, applying knowledge to improve existing processes and develop new solutions
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in design and development of industrial or marine equipment, with a focus on electrohydraulic or electromechanical systems
  • Proven track record of managing complex engineering projects, with experience in Engineer-to-Order contracts
  • Proficiency in 2D and 3D modeling software, including Solidworks, AutoCAD, and FEA
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to travel as required (typically 5% of the time)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Engineers (PE) License
  • Master's degree in engineering or an MBA, with 15+ years of experience in designing industrial or marine equipment
