We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cardiovascular Unit Nurse to join our team at Healthcare Staffing Plus.

About the Role:

This is a local contract opportunity that requires a high level of expertise and experience in patient care. As a Telemetry RN, you will be responsible for monitoring and interpreting data from specialized medical technologies and equipment, administering medication, and performing treatment interventions in consultation with healthcare specialists.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor patients' medical history, test results, and treatment plans.
  • Track routine heart rate, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry measurements.
  • Interpret and record data from specialized medical technologies and equipment.
  • Administer medication and perform treatment interventions in consultation with healthcare specialists.
  • Maintain and update ward charts, patient files, and medical records.
  • Instruct Telemetry Unit staff on patient care and treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with healthcare specialists and report changes and deteriorating conditions.
  • Explain test results and procedures to patients and their families, and answer questions.
  • Advise patients on post-hospital care, including prescribed medicine, home care protocols, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes.
Qualifications:
  • BLS and ACLS certification.
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH) certification.
  • Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) certification.
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Passionate about patient care.
  • Requires a minimum of two years of current RN Telemetry experience.
  • Graduate from a fully accredited RN program.
  • Active unencumbered RN Tennessee state license.
  • One year of Epic experience.
Requirements:
  • COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.
