Snowsports Training Development Manager

As a Snowsports Training Development Manager at Vail Resorts, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the training culture within our Ski & Snowboard School. Your primary objective is to lead and motivate a high-performing instruction team, ensuring they align with our company's values and safety standards.
We are seeking an individual with a strong background in leadership development, education, or a related field. You must possess a positive, strengths-based orientation and be able to perform in a fast-paced environment. A minimum of 3 years of proven leadership experience in snowsports is required, along with certifications such as PSIA/AASI Level 3 and Children Specialist 2 accreditation.
Key Responsibilities- Team Development: Successfully coach, motivate, and develop your team to deliver exceptional guest experiences and maintain high-quality products/services.
- Culture Building: Foster a culture of inclusivity, excellence, and teamwork that drives employee engagement and retention.
- Training Program Management: Develop, coordinate, and schedule all aspects of ski and snowboard staff training, ensuring 100% completion by assigned employees.
- Guest Experience: Deliver exceptional guest experiences and develop training specific to business and guest needs, collaborating with managers to ensure quality and consistency.
- Evaluation and Improvement: Continuously evaluate the training program's effectiveness through quality control and regular communication with pros, trainers, training team, supervisors, and managers.
Skill Requirements:
- Leadership experience in snowsports or a closely related field
- PSIA/AASI Level 3 certification (or equivalent)
- Children Specialist 2 accreditation (or equivalent)
- A positive, strengths-based orientation and ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
