Position Overview
The State of Illinois is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to take on the role of Performance Monitoring and Execution Team Supervisor. This position is vital in ensuring the welfare of children and families by overseeing a professional team responsible for monitoring the effectiveness of foster care services and intact family support provided by both the Department and private agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, supervise, and coordinate the activities of a team of child welfare professionals engaged in monitoring services within designated regions.
- Act as the primary supervisor for subordinate staff, providing guidance and support.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental programs, policies, and procedures.
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive staff development and training program for both agency and private staff.
- Ensure compliance with agency policies, state statutes, and regulatory requirements.
- Represent the Department in collaborative planning sessions with various public and private entities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned that align with the responsibilities outlined above.
Minimum Qualifications
- A Master of Social Work (MSW) or a master’s degree in a related human services field is required.
- Three years of progressively responsible administrative experience in child welfare with an MSW, or four years with a related master’s degree.
Preferred Qualifications
- Three years of professional experience in child welfare casework or program monitoring.
- Three years of supervisory experience.
- Two years of experience in developing corrective action plans.
- Two years of experience in planning activities for service areas.
- Two years of experience in training professional staff.
- Two years of experience representing an organization to external stakeholders.
Conditions of Employment
- Ability to pass a background check is required.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel is necessary.
