Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist CFY to join our team at CP Rochester. As a CFY, you will have the opportunity to work under the supervision of a NYS Licensed SLP and gain valuable experience in the field of speech-language pathology.

Responsibilities
  • Screen individuals to determine speech and language strengths and need for further evaluation
  • Evaluate individuals on caseload through testing, observations, parental and team input, and medical information
  • Carry out treatment programs developed after evaluation, which are designed to meet individuals IEP goals or IFSP outcomes
  • Schedule speech language therapy sessions for individuals, individually in small groups, and in the classroom or community
  • Consult with the teacher and other members of the interdisciplinary team to facilitate delivery of coordinated quality services to individuals
  • Work with parents as integral members of the interdisciplinary team at school and in the home setting
  • Complete all paperwork in accordance with agency, program, and department policies and guidelines
  • Attend all team, discipline, and staff meetings as designated
  • Maintain treatment area in an orderly manner to ensure safety
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Masters degree and Certificate of Clinical Competence preferred, or Certificate of Qualification, provisional or permanent identification as a Teacher of Speech and Hearing Handicapped
  • Experience working with preschool age children or other individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
  • Valid New York State driver's license
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
