Job Overview

American Honda Motor Co. is seeking an experienced Aerospace Engineer to join their Loads and Dynamics team. This role involves leading the development of aircraft design loads, structural testing, and certification activities.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing design loads analysis using commercial and in-house tools and processes. They will also develop airframe design loads based on Loads and Dynamics design criteria, as well as create mass properties and aerodynamic databases required for design analysis models.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop engine loads, component loads, and aircraft control surface loads
  • Conduct structural and flight testing
  • Develop Loads and Dynamics certification documents

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related STEM field from an ABET-accredited university
  • 5+ years of experience in producing aircraft design loads, conducting structural and flight testing
  • Proficiency in Unix/Linux, FORTRAN, C/C++, MATLAB, VBA, MSC/NASTRAN, MSC/PATRAN, MSC/FLIGHTLOADS, CATIA, and Python
