Job Overview:
The Outer Banks Hospital, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our team in a critical access hospital setting.

We offer a competitive salary of $62,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

About The Job:
This role involves providing safe, expedient, and cost-effective respiratory care services to patients of all ages with respiratory illnesses and other cardiopulmonary disorders. As a member of our healthcare team, you will evaluate, treat, and manage patients using evidence-based practices. You will also be responsible for documenting patient information accurately and maintaining confidentiality. Additionally, you will participate in life-support activities, respond to emergencies, and provide therapeutic interventions as needed.

Responsibilities:
- Provide respiratory care services to patients, including assessing their condition, developing treatment plans, and implementing therapies
- Conduct patient evaluations, monitor responses to treatments, and modify therapy plans accordingly
- Participate in life-support activities, such as responding to trauma, high-risk deliveries, and code blue emergencies
- Use universal precautions and follow safety protocols to ensure patient safety
- Maintain accurate records of patient information, including progress notes, test results, and medication lists

Requirements:
- American Heart Association BLS certification
- Associate Degree or higher in an approved CoARC program for Respiratory Care
- Active licensure with the North Carolina Respiratory Care Board upon hire and maintained yearly
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Registry Eligible with RRT credential obtained within 1 year of graduation
