Aquatic Facility Cashier

CLASSIFICATION OVERVIEW:

The role of the cashier involves the collection and management of payments for access to aquatic facilities, program registrations, and merchandise sales within the District. Cashiers are responsible for clearly communicating District policies and regulations to the public, while also executing various clerical duties associated with cashiering tasks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Collect and accurately account for all payments received.
  2. Interpret and explain District policies to patrons.
  3. Perform clerical tasks related to cashiering activities.
  4. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the assigned work area.
  5. Participate in aquatic training sessions, which may include practical in-water components.
  6. Administer first aid and CPR as necessary.
  7. Respond to emergencies by implementing the District's Emergency Action plan and contacting emergency services when required.

POSITION CHARACTERISTICS:

Cashiers are typically part-time seasonal employees and do not have the opportunity to transition to permanent positions within the District. Work hours are flexible and depend on the operational needs of the District.
