**Position Title:** Child Welfare Case Manager

Company:** Commonwealth of Virginia

Compensation Range:** $49,944.20 to $85,348.53 annually

  • A signing bonus of $2,500 is available for new hires.
  • $500 bonus included in the initial paycheck
  • $750 bonus contingent upon achieving performance objectives
  • $1,250 bonus awarded after completing one year of service

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a committed social services professional to become part of their dedicated team. The successful candidate will deliver case management services for families and children engaged in Child Protective Services investigations or family evaluations. Key responsibilities include safeguarding the welfare, security, and long-term stability of vulnerable children.

**Primary Duties:**

  • Deliver case management services to families confronting intricate challenges
  • Organize meetings to foster relationships with children and families
  • Direct clients to suitable services
  • Engage with families and children to meet their specific requirements
  • Conduct evaluations and document client interactions
  • Collaborate with colleagues and legal representatives
  • Evaluate child safety and react to urgent situations
  • Develop service plans and participate in court proceedings
  • Partake in on-call responsibilities
  • Present cases to the Family Assessment & Planning Team

**Essential Qualifications:**

A Bachelor's degree in a human services discipline and relevant professional experience are required. A valid driver's license is mandatory for all roles.

**Desirable Qualifications:**

BSW or equivalent, MSW or equivalent, one year of case management experience, crisis intervention experience, and court-related experience.

**Additional Information:**

This position will remain open until filled. Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis. The chosen candidate will be classified as either a Family Services Specialist I or II based on their qualifications.
