$1,000 Sign on Bonus

As an Automotive Tire Sales and Installation Specialist at BJ's Wholesale Club, you will be responsible for assisting members in selecting and purchasing tires, performing tire installation and repair, completing necessary tire bay documentation, and maintaining tire bay policies and procedures.

  • Responsible for proper tire installation including mounting, dismounting, rotating, and balancing tires.
  • Ensure a clean and professional tire bay and waiting area. Merchandise tire displays and automotive products.
  • Provide knowledgeable service to members at the tire desk and coordinate with Home Office regarding member tire needs as needed.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and utilize special-order tire programs.
  • Comply with safety and cleanliness standards and properly utilize tire bay equipment.
  • Assist members in tire selection, including verifying vehicle sizes, and fill propane tanks as needed if certified per DOT requirements.
  • Complete all tire bay scheduling data and documentation for sales and service orders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver's license and ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
  • Prior tire installation experience preferred. Michelin training levels one through four must be passed within three months of hire.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lift over 30 pounds with assistance.

Environmental Job Conditions

  • Exposure to both indoor and outdoor temperatures and weather conditions.
  • Frequently requires lifting objects up to 30 pounds and may require lifting and moving heavy objects more than 30 pounds with assistance.
  • Usually perform job surrounded by moving cars, machinery and/or loud equipment that may require shouting to be heard. Occasional exposure to company approved chemicals and cleaning agents may occur.
