Nurse Educator

As a Nurse Educator in our Oncology department, you will play a vital role in developing and delivering nursing education programs to enhance the quality and cost-effectiveness of patient care. Your expertise will be instrumental in planning, conducting, and evaluating unit-specific new orientation, education, and training in the assigned department.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver educational programs for nursing staff, ensuring they possess the necessary skills and competencies to meet regulatory, risk, and patient safety requirements.
- Plan and direct the orientation and residency programs for new personnel, facilitating staff development and promoting learning experiences.
- Contribute to the department's quality improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to support these efforts and incorporating changes into education offerings.
- Collaborate with other educators to enhance self-learning, promote professionalism, and reduce duplicative services.
- Participate in related clinical instruction and conferences, maintaining and improving knowledge and competency in the specialty area.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing and two years of RN nursing work experience in the designated specialty area.
- Previous work experience in education/training of healthcare providers is strongly preferred.
- Masters degree in a related field is preferred.
