Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team at VCA Tri-County Animal Hospital in Fort Pierce, FL. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our veterinary team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with medical procedures, including anesthesia and surgery
  • Provide compassionate patient care, including administering medications and monitoring vital signs
  • Conduct laboratory tests and perform radiology procedures
  • Assist with client education and communication
  • Maintain accurate medical records and perform administrative tasks

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; veterinary technician or assistant certification preferred
  • Experience working in a veterinary hospital or clinic
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
