Job SummaryThe Coder Sr. Account Manager serves as the senior member of the Corporate Coding Team, responsible for reviewing denials and appeals related to coding issues, as well as managing the revenue cycle and ensuring compliance with CMS guidelines and managed care contracts.
Key Responsibilities- Review daily Epic work queues and report status of inpatient and outpatient accounts
- Collect and analyze data on A/R trends and fluctuations
- Perform coding and DRG assignment, as well as abstracting medical records
- Manage SMART accounts and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- 5 years of experience in coding, inpatient or clinical-related area, with diagnosis-related group analysis
- Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Associate's degree in Health Information Management, or Associate's degree in Nursing, with equivalent experience or related certification
- Registered Health Information Administrator, Registered Nurse, or Registered Health Information Technician, with Certified Coding Specialist certification
Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, with occasional weekend and evening requirements as needed.
